Goongbe wins the 2021 Rookie Brand Award in the Baby Care category by Tmall Global

- Goongbe becomes the only skincare brand to win the Rookie Brand Award in the Baby Care category by Tmall, the largest overseas direct purchase platform in China

Goongbe, Zero to Seven's premium naturally-derived skincare brand, won the 2021 Rookie Brand Award in the Baby Care category at the 2021 Tmall Export Company Conference held by Tmall Global, the largest overseas direct purchase platform in China. Goongbe was the only baby skincare brand to win an award at the event.

 

Tmall Global is the overseas direct purchase platform of Tmall, China’s largest e-commerce platform run by Alibaba Group. Among the newly opened brands in the past year (from April 2020 to March 2021), brands that have received excellent evaluation in areas such as sales volume, brand desirability and customer satisfaction receive the Rookie Brand Award.

 

Since opening the flagship store in Tmall Global in July 2020, Goongbe has been ranked 1st in new brand rankings in the Baby Skin Care category, and made sales over KRW 1.8 billion in just eight months after opening. Goongbe explained that the fact that it has achieved rapid growth compared to other companies, achieving sales of KRW 500 million in last year’s Single’s Day, seems to have influenced its winning the award.

 

Goongbe's flagship products Moisture Cream and Waterful Sun Lotion have gained sensational popularity among Chinese consumers, driving the brand’s sales growth. Moisture Cream is an intense moisturizing cream containing Goongbe’s proprietary patented Oji Relief Complex™ ingredient, which keeps the skin moisturized for 48 hours.[1] Moisture Cream was sold more than 30,000 units on Tmall Global last year alone. Waterful Sun Lotion is a 100% mineral sunscreen that protects the skin from UV rays with a refreshing and adhesive texture.

 

An official of Goongbe said, “Even though it has only been a few months since opening the flagship store on Tmall Global, we could win this award thanks to the word of mouth and great interest from consumers who actually used Goongbe products. Our plan is to differentiate our product line according to the unique characteristics of different distribution platforms, and launch active marketing campaigns to secure our position as a leading baby care brand in China.”

 

Meanwhile, Goongbe has an unrivaled position as the number one baby skin care brand, thanks to its safe products that are loved by Korean consumers. The brand won at Korea National Brand Awards in the baby skincare category three consecutive years since 2019.
