Goongbe sweeps the top sales item list in the Baby Sun Care category on Tmall on Single's Day in China

Goongbe, a skincare brand specializing in products designed for delicate baby skin, put four products in the 10 bestselling products during the Single’s Day promotion period on Tmall, the largest e-commerce platform in China.[1] The product sales also increased by 15.9% year on year, proving the brand’s global popularity.

 

In particular, Waterful Sun Lotion (SPF 50 PA), which has an unrivaled position in the Chinese baby sun care market, ranking first in the baby sun care category for 8 months[2] in 2020 and 7 months[3] in 2021, respectively, secured its top position during the Single’s Day promotion period, capturing the hearts of Chinese moms with high standards as the number one brand in the baby care category of the local brand section on Tmall.

 

Waterful Sun Lotion is the bestselling product of Goongbe’s sun care line and is the driving force behind the line’s growth. It not only has a mild and clean formula that contains naturally derived soothing ingredients and passed skin safety tests. In addition, it is applied with the moisture matrix technique that makes the formula more moist, refreshing and adhesive as it is massaged onto the skin.

 

In addition to Waterful Sun Lotion, Goongbe’s Moisture Cream made the sixth largest sales in the baby cream category while Goongbe Gift Set and Moisture Lotion ranked fifth and ninth in the baby cleanser category and baby lotion category, respectively.

 

During the Single’s Day event period, China’s largest retail company Alibaba Group held a shopping festival, inviting over 290,000 brands from 90 countries to sell over 7,000 items. Tmall, which is the largest e-commerce system among these, is an e-commerce platform where international brands and local brands engage in the most fierce competition. Putting four products in the top ten baby skincare product list, Goongbe achieved a noteworthy performance.

 

An official of Goongbe said, “Goongbe is receiving good comments for showing new possibilities in the Chinese sun care market and it is receiving high trust from Chinese consumers. That is also shown in the good results that we made during the Single's Day event period. We are going to continue our efforts as a leading brand in the global market.”

 

Meanwhile, Goongbe pioneered the baby sun care category in China in 2016, targeting the unmet needs of Chinese mothers as there was no baby sun care category in China at the time when it opened the flagship store in Tmall.

 

In 2021, it won the 2021 Rookie Brand Award in the Baby Care category at the 2021 Tmall Export Company Conference held by Tmall Global, a platform that allows Chinese consumers to purchase products directly from Korean online stores. E.O.D.
